The Wisdom Tooth Extraction Process
You’ll receive local anesthesia to numb your mouth, and you can also get sedation if you need extra help staying relaxed. If your wisdom teeth have partially erupted and are visible above the gumline, Dr. Uldrikson will extract them like he would any other tooth, moving them back and forth until they just slip out.
If you have impacted wisdom teeth, a more complex procedure will be required. He will need to place a small incision in the gums and remove a small amount of bone to reveal the underlying teeth. Depending on their positions, he may also need to section each tooth into pieces for easier removal.
